Purpose:
Did you know that being able to make decisions is a skill? Module 1 introduces you to the whole journey ahead through the Build For Your Future Dashboard, the five-step STEAM Investigative Process Roadmap, and the idea that every decision, big or small, has a ripple effect extending beyond your own life.
Overview
Module 1 has three parts.
- Orientation to why you’re here and where you’re headed.
- A complete introduction to the STEAM Investigative Process (SIP) Roadmap – a five-step decision-making process you’ll use throughout this entire curriculum.
- Your first SIP project: The Bag Of Chips Strategic Plan
Learning Objectives
By the end of Module 1, you will be able to:
- Navigate the Build For Your Future Dashboard
- Name and briefly describe the five steps of the STEAM Investigative Process (SIP)
- Use the STEAM Investigative Process Roadmap to trace your own decisio-making process
- Understand the ripple effects of your decisions
- Complete your first SIP Project
