Purpose:
Module 2 rounds out the SIP Roadmap you met in Module 1 by introducing two tools you’ll carry into every team and every project from here forward: the Strategist Mindset (how you personally approach a problem) and the SIP Grid (how every problem-solving discipline. Both are done to help you learn how you think before you ever have to think alongside anyone else.
📖 Overview
This Module is all about recognizing that whatever problem-solving approach you naturally reach for, it already fits the SIP Roadmap you used in Module 1. Module 2 has two parts:
- The Strategist Mindset which introduces three ways of approaching a problem.
- The SIP Grid which is a reference table that shows how we all walk the same five SIP steps for solving problems but from different points of view.
🎓 Learning Objectives
By the end of Module 2, you will be able to:
- Name the three Strategist Mindset thinking styles and briefly describe each
- Complete a personal Strategist Mindset self-assessment
- Identify your own dominant mindset and explain, in your own words, why it fits you
- Read the SIP Grid and explain how at least two different disciplines walk the same five SIP steps
- Select a real example of someone solving a problem and identify which mindset best describes how they approached it
- Compare your own mindset to a different mindset side by side
